Exchange Program Korea

I was chosen to join the Leadership Exchange Program between SungDo High School in Busan, South Korea and Philippine Science High School from 2016 – 2017. The program is divided into a Philippine Leg and a Korean Leg. In the Philippine leg, twelve Korean Exchange students would each be paired up with twelve different Filipino students who would act as hosts during their stay in the Philippines. The role of the hosts are to house and share experiences with their respective partners. In the Korean leg, the 12 Korean Exchange students would instead be the ones to host the Filipinos  during the exchange in Busan. A typical exchange would consist of 10 days of sharing culture, history and personal experiences, attending each other’s classes, and exploring historic and important places in each other’s respective countries. I was lucky to have been able to join in three legs to have hosted a Korean exchange student on two different occasions. Attached below are some of the pictures I’ve had during this whole experience and the reflection I wrote on my experiences in Korea. Also included is the final presentation I made during the closing ceremony.
